Jetty is a local business that has always been working on grassroots initiatives and they were one of the first to start working on relief efforts post Sandy. Check out this page of their site to see what they have done and how you can help them, help those in need. They have also partnered with Waves For Water who are doing their first mission on American soil. From the W4W site, “…Normally focus on clean water, but this time we will be addressing the initial survival needs on many levels from first responder assistance to rubble removal and ultimately the rebuilding efforts. We have extensive experience with disaster relief that puts us in a unique position to help organize, mobilize and deploy a strategic response initiative for the victims of Sandy…”

Jersey Strong has a Facebook and Twitter profile and are selling merchandise that benefits the Friends of Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter. 100% of proceeds go directly to the Animal Shelter. If you buy any apparel they ask, “…put it on and take a photo and post on our wall [or tweet it]. Let’s get this up and going—we want everyone to feel empowered and know how many people are ready to rebuild this state that we all call home—whether that means you are a local resident, a seasonal beach-goer, a visitor, or anyone else.” Any questions can be sent to jerseystrong1787@gmail.com.
