LBI is Alive has great news! We would like to announce that the LBI Chamber of Commerce is now up and running. This Chamber of Commerce exclusively showcases all that LBI has to offer as a premier tourist destination at the Jersey Shore. Their goal is to promote and stimulate commerce and tourism on Long Beach Island. They decided that they needed a chamber whose number one mission and calling is to promote LBI as a place to live and visit.
Super Storm Sandy also prompted the groups formation(as did it prompt LBIisAlive’s creation), “…it had a lot to do with the swiftness with which you have to respond to something that happens like that…some of the mayors and some of the business people realize that there were other towns along the Jersey Shore that were able to react more quickly in getting word out about how the towns were impacted…being more streamlined…be able to react …with a singular purpose which is promoting commerce and tourism on LBI.“
Now that everything is live and up and running, they need a logo. There is a contest going on until Oct 1st. Email your submissions to Steve@thesandpaper.net. Another way to support the new LBI Chamber is to stop by their “First Call, Last Call” event at Nardi’s on October 23rd from 6pm-9pm. More details to come on LBIChamberofCommerce.com and the Facebook Page.
